DAYS 10, 11 & 12

Well I goofed up - I have been taking pictures from my bike with a camera that had a full memory card. The pictures that I did get were mostly of the buildings in little villages. There is a picture of Joe and he had just ridden over a “Tope” – this is a bump in the road that is designed to slow you down, and it does. I am positive that they are paid for by the manufactures of brakes, transmissions, clutches, mufflers and shock absorbers. The first motel we pulled into last night rented the room by the hour and had a curtain that could be pulled to hide the car. We opted to move on to a nicer place. That was last night; tonight we are in a low budget motel o Zihuhnejo– less that $25/night. Today’s ride had so many turns it made the road to Hana on Maui look like an interstate highway. It was very tiring – you don’t suppose we are getting old, do you?  The picture of Joe with the food is at a corner resturaunt where we watched the Sunday night football game - I will tell you one thing, football is more exciting with a Mexican announcer.

We made it thru Acapulco today (day 12) and are staying in San Marcos. We ran into a young guy from Florida that has been riding around Mexico for about a month. We all went to dinner. Two beers, 3 Cokes and 5 quesadillas including a tip for under $15.00  --  How do you like our fancy power grid?

Thanks for riding along.
