DAY 28

Well we got out of Cali this morning under overcast skys with the help of the GPS.  The road signs in the cities are almost non-existent.  Much of the day was treatening rain so not too many pictures.  It was mostly twists and turns through the mountains and it really is hard to explain how long it takes to get anywhere because of road conditions.  Look at the photo with the pot holes and multiply by a zillion.  We met a guy and gal from Massachusetts that are also heading South.  They have been on the road since early December. It was nice to speak to folks from the US.  Tomorrow we cross into Equador. 

I forgot to mention, this is the first year I have watched the Super Bowl Game from under the covers in bed - to stay warm since the hotel we were in didn't have heat (nor does the one tonight or last night).  I am off to bed to warm up.
